Gov. Henry Appoints Wallace Assoc. District Judge in Pushmataha County
(Oklahoma City) Gov. Brad Henry has appointed Jana Kay Wallace as Associate District Judge for Pushmataha County. She will replace Lowell Burgess, Jr., who retired.
"Jana Wallace has served the people of Pushmataha County with distinction in the district attorney's office, and I know she will continue that record of service on the bench," Gov. Henry said. "Her experience in both civil and criminal law will serve her well in her new role in the judiciary."
Gov. Henry selected Wallace from three nominees provided to him by the Judicial Nominating Commission.
Wallace earned her bachelor's degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and earned her juris doctorate from the University of Oklahoma School of Law. She currently handles civil cases in private practice and also serves as an assistant district attorney in Pushmataha County.
